About Organized Assistant
Janet
Barclay established Organized Assistant in order to
share her natural organizing abilities and the many computer and administrative
skills she has gained throughout her life, and this is reflected in
her company's Mission Statement. Her career
has taken her into offices across several sectors, including Manufacturing,
Financial Services, Social Services, and the Ontario Government. Committed
to lifelong learning, she continually upgrades her skills through self-study
and by participating in seminars and conferences. She holds a Bachelor
of Arts degree with Specialized Honours in French and an Advanced Career
Consultant Certificate, among other achievements.
As a qualified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® practitioner,
Janet applies her knowledge of personality type to help others use their
natural preferences to work more effectively.
In addition to her monthly ezine, The Organized
Assistant Resource, Janet writes a monthly column, Productivity
Pointers, for AORCP Newz-Bytes and the Canadian Virtual Assistant Network
Newsletter. She has also been featured in various print
and broadcast media.
Janet is an active member of several networking
and professional associations and is a firm believer in giving back
to her community.
Born in Etobicoke, Ontario, Janet now makes
her home in Hamilton, where she resides with her husband, Scott, and
their cat, Dusty.
